Authority Monitoring Report
The council assesses the performance of policies of the Local Plan to ensure they remain effective and relevant by monitoring key indicators relating to housing, employment and other development.
Findings are published in the Authority's Monitoring Report (AMR). The latest AMR, and reports from previous years, are available to view and download using the links below. A new AMR is usually added each autumn, reporting on the previous year.
Housing Land Supply
National planning policy requires us to demonstrate that there is a supply of deliverable land for housing development in the district. The Five Year Housing Land Supply Report (December 2025) calculates the amount of land deliverable for housing development within the next five years, from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2030, and confirms we can demonstrate a healthy supply of housing land in excess of five years' worth.
Housing Delivery Test
The Housing Delivery Test (HDT) measures the number of new homes built in East Cambridgeshire against the number of new homes that are required to be built in the district. The latest HDT measurements are dated 2023 and were published by Government in December 2024. East Cambridgeshire scored 113%.
The Five Year Housing Land Supply Report is available on this webpage.
