Sutton Time Bank aims to engage and bring together the community, creating social and practical support networks. Time banking is a community of people who support each other by exchanging skills, ideas or practical help.
Time banking is a way to help others in your community and be rewarded for it – in time. For every hour you give helping someone, you receive a time credit. You can spend your time credits when you need help from someone else. You could also choose to give them to another member who needs help, save them for a later date or exchange them for a Time Credit voucher that can be used for days out and activities.
Everyone’s time is equal, so one hour of my time is equal to one hour of your time, no matter what we choose to exchange.
